Backed by an extensive gourmet product range and serviced through an experienced and dispersed sales and customer service team, the company's unique selling proposition is "your total food cabinet solution provider". With key accounts in the café, restaurant, catering and food service markets, Priestley's Gourmet Delights prides itself on delivering exceptional value to the markets and customers we serve.
The company manufactures its products in a modern, purpose built facility located at Morningside in Brisbane, Queensland. All products are delivered to the trade via our preferred distributor network Australia wide. Additionally, we provide products to the international arena through our logistics partners and currently service most parts of the globe.
Priestley's Gourmet Delights has a strong focus on food safety and occupational health and safety. The company is HACCP and ISO 9001-2000 accredited and also provides a range of HALAL certified products.
The History
Priestley's was founded in 1990 and initially operated out of Brisbane only. Gourmet Delights, operated independently, commenced distributing Priestley's products on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. An opportunity that was subsequently enacted arose late in 1995 for Gourmet Delights to acquire Priestley's. Priestley's Gourmet Delights Pty Ltd commenced trading in its present form in January 1996. Proud to be 100% Australian and family owned, the company has enjoyed consistent and sustainable growth. Staff numbers have grown considerably over time and we now employ more than 200 employees.
In November 2006 the company acquired a New Zealand based dessert manufacturer - Melba Foods. Remarkably similar to Priestley's in terms of its origins and product range, the acquisition provides Priestley's with manufacturing and selling capabilities across the Tasman.
More recently the company has embarked on a new era with the introduction of a gourmet savoury range. These products compliment the traditional sweet offerings and at the same time afford our customers the same high quality and value that they have become accustomed to.
