Stripping for food agaist hunger and poverty. It may sound bizarre, but the 21 year-old Maria Perez Arzobega from Venezuela offers her body in the ongoing battle against poverty and hunger. By stripping she hopes to bring focus to the horrible situation in which many Venezuelan children spend their daily lives.
Maria: "It is my protest against poverty, hunger and corruption. My stand against broken promises. My love for this country, and my sadness about the hopeless situation many children in this country are in."
Wit her protest against the reign of Hugo Chávez she hopes to collect donations to - in contrast to the promises made by Chavez during his election campaign - to actually do something about the problem in her country. At www.stripping4food.org visitors can view her five-part strip tease for free, and are encouraged to spread the word.
