New Year, New Career Seminar to Help Job Seekers Accomplish Career Goals in 2009

SAN DIEGO – NextWork, (http://www.nextworkservices.com) a San Diego-based career transition services organization, has scheduled to debut the New Year, New Career event on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Mission Valley. At this full-day seminar, speakers will provide tips and resources on topics that include the correct way to plan and execute a productive job search, how to implement and maximize an online presence to successfully achieve career goals, new ways to develop cover letters and resumes, marketing personal potential to employers, establishing lasting first impressions, and other job searching topics to help career seekers stay ahead of their competition.

“As economic forecasts predict the low number of job availabilities for the first quarter of 2009, it is important to stay positive and proactive if you are job searching or in an unhappy employment situation,” stated Linda Amaro, co-founder of NextWork. “Thinking that you should suffer through your current circumstances or settle for a job that is not a fit will only produce negative results in the long-run, both personally and professionally.
