(Apex, NC) --Little Tomo Children’s Shoppe in downtown Apex, contributed over $5,700 in clothing and toys to support the NC Children’s Promise and the children and families with North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
Diana and Mark Lloyd, owners of Little Tomo Children’s Shoppe donated from their store, and invited their toy distributors to participate;
At Diana and Mark's invitation, business neighbors on Apex’s historic Salem Street added an additional $1,300 worth of donations to the $5,700 total. Laura Kelly of Laura Kelly Designs donated $1000 in books, games, activities and stationary; Renee Lloyd and Erika Haase of enV (pronounced “envey”) Salon donated a complete make-over certificate worth $250 for a lucky parent of a child at UNC Children’s Hospital; April Michaels, owner of Monkey Wraps presented a wrap and towel set valued at $45; and Sarah Coker of Syeni Salon gave a certificate for a massage for another parent valued at $50.
In all, Diana and Mark’s generosity and outreach to their community resulted in over $7,000 of gifts.
