More than 30 Rolex watches up for auction in Birmingham

A number of Rolex watches are being put up for auction in Birmingham, UK. They’re one of the highlights of a specialist Wrist & Pocket Watches auction at auctioneers and valuers Fellows & Sons, in the city’s Jewellery Quarter.

The auction will start at 11am on Monday 19th January 2009.

The highlight of the Rolex collection is a gentleman’s diamond paved Platinum Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, which could sell for as much as £30,000 - £40,000.

But Stephen Whittaker, the managing partner, said there are some more affordable ones too.

He said: “You can get hold of a lovely Rolex watch for as little as a couple of hundred pounds.

“Rolex sales are always lively events, as it is a very well known and desired brand and attracts a lot of collectors.”
While the sale is happening at Fellows’ modern auction rooms in Birmingham, anyone across the world can listen to the auction and make live bids for the antique watches.
