The Nairobi Youth Hostel is situated just 3km south-west of the city centre in a friendly ,clean homely and quiet Environment our staff are Amazing cheerful, informative, friendly and willing to help. Situated along the Ralph Bunche Road between the former Kenya school of Law and the Nairobi hospital directly opposite the Upper Hill Medical Centre.
It is only 20 minutes walk to the city centre.
The Hostel is a perfect place to be if you want to meet travelers from all corners of the Globe in a relaxed, stress free, quiet, fun and friendly environment., the hostel makes a good base for visiting Nairobi National Wildlife Park, the National Karen Blixen, Giraffe Centre, Railway museums, the open air Maasai Market among other tourist attractions in Nairobi.
Description of Accommodations
Most of our accommodation vary from shared dorm rooms large and small double bunk rooms for two,self contained furnished appartments, for hostels outside Nairobi camping is common.

Self Contained Fully furnished appartments one bedroom,with kitchen,in build wardrobes,sitting room and own shower and rest room.
Amenities
Lounge area for socialising ,with a variety of assorted magazines,a library where one can read books.
Also good for training seminars, a cyber cafe ,storage facilities and to top it up ,Hostelling is about travel we have a very reputable tours desk providing information to our guests on what they need to see and do within Nairobi,aroung kenya and within the East African region.
Restrictions
Strictly no smooking in rooms,drugs are not allowed, no pets, rooms separate for men and women but shared rooms available for couples. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied
We offer dorms for 16 people sharing, small rooms with 3 or 4 beds, bunk rooms with 2 beds or self contained one bedroom furnished flats.

CAUTION.
We like to warn our members that on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, try to avoid tour agents /Taxi drivers who mislead you that the hostel is fully booked or is under renovations, they pretend calling the Hostel to confirm that it is booked, insist to call the hostel phone no, ask to be taken to the Nairobi International Youth Hostel its the only one in Nairobi. Directions
Our location is within easy reach from the city centre. Bus numbers 28,36,40,42 from the Hilton bus stop drop you off at the traffic police headquarters on Ngong road. Cross over and walk down Ralph Bunche road for about 500meters and on your left you will see our hostel.
The other route is by Valley Road: Take the number 46 bus, matatus (mini bus) or ‘metro shuttle bus service from the Hilton bus stop. Get off at the school of law and walk a short distance (about 200meters). You are here!
