Leaving Permanently For Mars And Not Returning Advised By Renowned Scientists

With global warming a huge concern, the above bogus headline may seem to be the solution. I hope you can stand the climate. Robert Swiatek’s book, “Take Back the Earth – The Dumb, Greedy Incompetents Have Trashed It” may be a better idea.

Dec. 21, 2008 - PRLog -- A finalist in the Indie Excellence 2007 book awards, "Take Back the Earth – The Dumb, Greedy Incompetents Have Trashed It" may be Swiatek’s most important book. Wise men have stated that the earth does not belong to us. Yet, governments and corporations have acted as though there was no end to the resources of the land or in the oceans. Over the last half century, our planet has been besieged by the disasters of Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, Bhopal, Love Canal, the Exxon Valdez, Katrina, and the list seems to never end. These disasters have devastated the land, sea and air as well as done great harm to the people in the north and south hemispheres. Unless we take action now, we’ll have no place to live. Fortunately, we have the ingenuity to come up with solutions and "Take Back the Earth."

Before retiring from the business world at the end of 2001 after more than twenty-five years, the author was a software consultant for over twenty years, having worked at various corporations throughout the east coast, such as Nestle, Blue Cross, Chase Bank, Digital Equipment Corporation and Sea World. He studied and worked with computers for over thirty years and taught mathematics at high schools in New York and New Jersey for eight years, and has had a few other books self-published, which have gotten excellent reviews that you can read at bobcooks.com, the web site he created and maintains. He also created and maintains the web site of The Authors’ Guild of Western New York, authorsguildofwny.com, of which he was thrust into the position of leader, as well as johnmarszalek.com, the site of the historian and former Buffalo resident. He was born in Buffalo and currently resides there, having lived in a few places in the eastern United States. His degrees are in mathematics, math education and computer science and he has worked as part of environmental groups in toxic Western New York. He is a member of the Sierra Club, Natural Resources Defense Council, The Wilderness Society, Buffalo Riverkeeper and The Nature Conservancy. Two other related books of his that were recently published are "This War Won’t Cost Much – I’m Already Against the Next One" and "Press 1 for Pig Latin," a book on the failure of technology.
