China Tourism Administration Decided to Refund some Quality Deposits to China Travel Agencies

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 20, 2008 – According to the China National Tourism Administration on Dec. 8, 2008, in support to China travel agencies' difficulties to deal with the international financial crisis, and other operational difficulties, the China National Tourism Administration issued a notice that travel agencies will be refunded some quality deposits.

The Notice pointed out that, under the CPC Central Committee and State Council's unified deployment, and as supports to Chinese travel agencies to deal with international financial crises and travel operating difficulties, the China National Tourism Administration decided to refund part of the quality deposits to travel agencies.

The refund percentage is within 50% - 70% of the travel quality deposits, operated and decided by provincial tourism administrations. Travel agencies under the direct management of China National Tourism Administration would get 70% of the deposit refunded.

This Notice is in effect within two years term till Dec. 31th, 2010. All the refunds of next year are required to finished by the end of January 2009.
