Two new and exciting exhibitions have arrived at Swansea Museum.
Visitors can view an exhibition featuring the way in which Norwegian Churches have developed from their origins, since being founded in Swansea and Cardiff by the Norwegian Seamen’s Mission.
The Swansea Church was originally in Newport but moved to Swansea in 1909 is now the jewellery workshop of Silversmiths Nicola Palterman and Mari Thomas. The Cardiff Church has become a cultural centre in the former dockland.
Roger Gale of Swansea Museum said “People who visit this new exhibition can learn more about these fascinating buildings, and the rich stories they played a huge part in over so many years”.
Meanwhile, the second display is the ‘Greenland Exhibition’ curated by Swansea University. It illustrates the effects of global warming on their environment.
Admission is free, and visitors can also visit Swansea Museum itself, including the ancient Egyptian Mummy, ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’
There are also a range of unique gifts in the shop which could make that ideal last minute Christmas present.
