TunerJunkyard.com, who bill themselves as a "Legal Chop Shop on the Internet," are continuing to prepare for opening for business in their new Holly Hilly, FL location.
"We have signed a lease in the 400 block of LPGA Boulevard and are going to secure our operating and tax permits for business in Florida after the first of the year," stated co-owner Jerod Husvar. He continued, "We're still operating as an Ohio corporation while we prepare to separate from our parent company in Ohio."
The company, recently featured in an article in the Daytona News-Journal's Business section, will be restructuring as an independent corporation in the state of Florida. Owner Marisa Torres explained the changes. "We're very interested in securing our place in the Holly Hill and Daytona Beach communities, as well as Florida. We felt it would be hypocritical to operate in Florida but continue operating as an Ohio corporation any longer than necessary. This is our new home and we want our tax dollars, residency and business structure to reflect our commitments to the Holly Hill community, the Daytona Beach area, and Florida as a whole. It's taking a bit longer than we expected, but we believe it is the right way to approach doing business here." Co-owner, Jerod Husvar, added "we are also using this semi-down period to restructure our business model, including development of a new web site and marketing relationships."
TunerJunkyard.com focuses on selling used automotive parts to the enthusiast, restoration and tuner car markets.
