ProspectMX To Donate $10,000 Of Internet Marketing To Worthy Charity

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 17, 2008 – ProspectMX, a Lancaster, PA-based internet marketing company, announced plans Monday to grant a "Christmas Wish" to a deserving non-profit organization in the form of $10,000 worth of free internet marketing services. The ProspectMX Christmas Wish contest officially begins December 15, 2008 and ends December 31, 2008. The team at ProspectMX will announce the winner of the contest on January 5, 2009.

The catch? There is none. All a non-profit organization has to do is answer the question "How can internet marketing benefit your organization?" on their website or blog and then notify ProspectMX when they've posted their answers. The ProspectMX staff will then choose the winner based on their favorite entry and which charity seems to have the greatest need.

Once they've chosen a winner, ProspectMX will work on developing and implementing an internet marketing plan that will best fulfill the goals and needs of the non-profit organization. Various strategies may be used, including search engine optimization (SEO), link building, social media, on-site optimization and possibly even website design for the charity if necessary.

David Brown, who joined the internet marketing company (http://www.prospectmx.com) over the summer, actually came up with the idea at the spur of the moment. "I've done some work for non-profits in the past and it really just gives you that warm fuzzy feeling," said Brown. "This contest just popped into my head one morning. The hard part is going to be choosing who to help."

Other companies in the internet marketing community have also gotten involved with the Christmas Wish. Runner up prizes have been provided by Seattle-based search firm SEOmoz, educational website SEO 101 Tools, and trackur, a social media and online reputation monitoring service.

The whole team was immediately taken with the idea and fine-tuned the details in order to launch the ProspectMX Christmas Wish contest. "We just want to be able to give back to the people who are giving back every day of the year," says Dave Conklin, one of the three founders of ProspectMX. "SEO and internet marketing is really a gift that keeps on giving, as cliché as that sounds."
