The Accreditation Commission of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) awarded New Life Theological Seminary accreditation status as a category III institution at its November 4th, 2008 commission meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. This means that the Accreditation Commission acknowledges that the Seminary is in substantial compliance of all criteria required to conduct degree activity on both the undergraduate and graduate level. TRACS is approved by the United States Department of Education (USDE) as a nationally recognized institutional accrediting agency and appears on the Secretary’s List of Approved Accrediting Agencies, which is provided in the Higher Education Directory. TRACS is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
TRACS’ recognition of New Life Theological Seminary as a fully accredited Christian academic institution comes as the seminary celebrates its 12th anniversary said NLTS President Dr. Eddie Grigg. “The past twelve years have been filled with challenges of every type. There are so many people that helped us get to this goal. I thank each of our prayer warriors, each of our donors, and each of our volunteers for helping to make this possible. You have stood with us in the good times and in the hard times, and you were on my mind when Chairman Dr. Charles Shoemaker said the Commission had voted “unanimously”
Dr. Grigg is excited about the next chapter at NLTS with a strategic plan to fully realize the vision and further strengthen the purpose and mission of the Seminary. We now tackle the need for more scholarships, to lessen our debt, improve the library and meet the growing need for student housing and further campus development.
