Philanthropy in Butler County – The Community Foundation supports lasting change

“The holidays are a natural time of giving, volunteerism is abundant and many people explore ways to give gifts to the underprivileged and make contributions to causes that touch their heart” said Angie Baur, President of the Foundation.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Dec 16, 2008 – (Butler County) This holiday season the Community Foundation of Greater Butler County, a 501 (c) (3), public charity, is encouraging you to consider charitable giving this season. Specifically giving to an existing fund at the Foundation or to their general fund, your donation will help support  local needs and causes throughout the Butler County region.

The Community Foundation of Greater Butler County is dedicated to assisting donors in building a permanent pool of assets for the people, organizations and causes in Butler County. Presently the Foundation manages 30 funds. These funds honor donor intent for non-profit agencies, targeted areas of interest and the Foundation is also growing a general fund that provides a broad scope of giving for the flexibility to respond to the current needs in Butler County.

“The holidays are a natural time of giving, volunteerism is abundant and many people explore ways to give gifts to the underprivileged and make contributions to causes that touch their heart” said Angie Baur, President of the Foundation. The Foundation is a local organization established to support donations for local distribution; in fact they provide a centralized hub for giving that ensures the donors desires are honored. They have a list of funds that you can designate your donation to by merely noting that fund name on your check and they also welcome undesignated funds that are incorporated into their general fund which is used for granting funds to local organizations meeting the current needs of the Butler County Community.

The Foundation is able to accept a variety of assets which include cash, real estate, and stocks. As a 501 (c) (3) your donation is tax deductible to the highest levels possible, as set forth by the IRS. “The end of the year can be a wonderful time for individuals to make charitable contributions to organizations like ours…you are able to make a donation for a cause or to an organization that warms your heart, plus you reap the secondary benefit of tax incentives” said Angie Baur.

Your gift to the Foundation strengthens the assets that are managed by the Foundation which ultimately ensures their ability to make grants to local causes and organizations. Consider making a donation today!

Visit their website at www.communityfoundationgbc.org to make a donation or learn more about this non-profit organization. There is a page dedicated to the Funds presently held by the Foundation.
