Through hard work, perseverance, and seizing opportunities, Dhanam began his journey to America after receiving his master’s degree in India and marrying the love of his life, Anila Michael.
In the late 1980s Dhanam won a sales contest in Dallas that earned him a ticket to a seminar conducted by the legendary motivator Zig Ziglar. This chance encounter proved to be a serendipitous one—Dhanam began working for the Zig Ziglar Corporation in 1991 as a telemarketer. That job eventually led him to the position of Vice President of Training for Ziglar Worldwide and the Director of International Operations for Ziglar Training Systems.
