Dec. 15, 2008 - PRLog -- Everyone has considered making a fresh start in a new place at least once in their lives. But will it be easy or hard? Is it going to be pleasant or painful?

Davide is a born loser. A lot of people kid him and he realizes how hard his situation really is. But he decides not to surrender and continues with a more aggressive approach and higher aims. This is the beginning of Davide’s journey to build a new life and career.

The World Citizen is the story of a young Italian, Davide Calvini, who decides to leave his village in Southern Italy and move to another country in search of work and a better life. With an important disease affecting his lifestyle, he moves to Northern Italy and builds a career in the IT field after a lot of sacrifices and few triumphs. But he is always considered a “foreigner in a foreign Country.”

While moving from place to place, Davide’s fresh start turns out to be a difficult one. Some of the things that happen to Davide are of a not-so-explored point of view, but every reader can relate it to something personal inside themselves. Davide’s every thought is expressed through a stream of consciousness, but the reader has to develop his own solutions to the problems.

The World Citizen is an interesting, though-provoking story. Revealing modern injustices felt by emigrants and “different” individuals, the reader is asked to contemplate and develop his/her own solutions to analyzed problems.
