These are the highest quality and lowest priced megapixel cameras available.
Conventional cctv cameras have limited resolution. The highest resolution is D-1 or 704x480 pixels. This is equivalent to 337,920 pixels. Our new 1.3 megapixel cctv cameras have a resolution of 1280x960 which is 3.6 times the resolution. One issue concerns the lenses. Megapixel cameras require special megapixel lenses. Our cameras include megapixel lenses matched to the camera. Another issue is that most megapixel cctv cameras only use CMOS sensors. Cmos sensors suffer from two drawbacks: 1) poor low light sensitivity and 2) They use electronic rolling shutter technology which is not the best for moving subjects. Our cameras use 1.3 megapixel CCD sensors which have high sensitivity at low light levels and also use electronic global shutter which is better for moving subjects.
Our 1.3 megapixel cctv network cameras include housing and megapixel lens at no additional charge. Our outdoor camera also includes high power LED IR emitters that permit observation of objects in total darkness. The IR emitters automatically respond to ambient light levels.
Each camera also has alarm input and output connections so that they can be added to existing alarm systems. Another feature is built in video motion detection, which also can be used for motion controlled recording and alarm.
These cameras permit remote observation and recording when connected to a wide area network such as the internet.
