The menu of the Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza reflects the traditional cuisine of Western Sicily. Local produce are used for all dishes, such as Lamb with chestnut sauce, Fish and seafood soup, Fried codfish with black olives from Castelvetrano, large red shrimps from Mazara and lobster. The meal is concluded with a triumph of sweets in the Sicilian tradition: sfinci (a kind of home made pancake made with flour, potatoes and sugar flavoured with cinnamon), the sesame torrone (that Sicilians call “cubaida”), the panettone flavoured with orange and lemon, the cannoli, the cassatelle of ricotta cottage cheese and chocolate drops.

A wonderful night at the Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza, a night with Shakespeare in Love!
The grand gala dinner is inspired by the comedies of the great English poet set in Italy, known and loved the world over, to celebrate the New Year with a positive message of optimism. The atmosphere recreates the sumptuous settings of Elizabethan balls that we have seen and admired in John Madden’s movie about young Shakespeare’s love for Lady Viola/Gwyneth Paltrow and those on the Virgin Queen’s life by Shekhar Kapur. The dinner planned by Chef Salvatore Barbara will be equally sumptuous. The Maioliche Hall will sparkle with lights, scented candles, red flowers, Music will complete the illusion by playing arias, themes and songs from the musical plays and soundtracks that were inspired by the masterpieces of the Shakespearian theatre.
