Wishcraft Announces Brainstormer's Winter Break Craft & Theater Camp

Wishcraft has announced its plans for a Craft & Theater Camp for 8-12 year-olds during the 2008 winter break.  The camp will run for 3 days (December 29th-31st 2008) and will conclude with a performance at the workshop.  Participants will write a script, design and construct costumes, design and produce a playbill and poster, and learn about theater through improv and other games.  The theme for the camp is “eco-super-heroes”, in which the earth has called out to the galaxy for help.  The participants will invent their own super-hero and/or villain, and design the costume, hair and make-up for their characters.      
The camp will include the practice of leadership and DIY skills, as well as an educational overview of environmental issues.

Camp leaders at Wishcraft include 2 actors with BFA degrees, and all leaders have experience with either the American Girl Theater, the American Theater Group and/or Chicago Park District.

The cost is $240 for the 3 days, and $200 for any sibling participant.
