American Heritage Craftworks, announces the opening of its new website at www.ahcraftworks.com aimed to bring a new twist on primitive and colonial art. “…seeing what these [floor] cloths were selling for today, I knew I could change the market. Make them well and make them affordable…”
Through her experience as a Decorative Artist for 29 years, and teaching her art for 25 years, Barbara has brought her vision to the web for all to enjoy. Believing in quality production methods, she has perfected her craft. Teaming up with her business partner and fellow artist, Diane, the team aims to bring quality, affordable artwork to the masses.
Asked about her vision, Barbara had the following to say: “Being fascinated with Roofus Porter and his way of painting with such freedom; sparked an interest in the colonial arts and floor cloths. I wanted to paint them and after some research, seeing what these cloths were selling for today, I knew that I could change the market. Make them well and make them affordable. I needed someone to share in the vision I had. Diane has made this a reality. Her talent and creativity not only in the canvas pieces we do, the shows where we sell our wares, but in the home decor as well, will enable us to continue to do what we both love to do - PAINT.”
