Blue Light CMS is developed using servlets and JavaServer Pages, it can be run on the most common Java application servers (IBM WebSphere, BEA Weblogic, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, etc).
For its storage system, it can operate on MySQL or Oracle database. This framework provides a reliable mechanism for storing content, page retrievals, and content versioning.
Blue Light CMS is built using Struts2 framework, which allows for flexibility in new development, pluggable APIs, and improved features.
Blue Light CMS started out as something small for a public school in 2008. Since then, it has expanded with more features to function as a complete web content management system.
