IACO Media is pleased to announce the launch of a new website for the city of Bloomfield, Iowa: www.CityofBloomfield.org. The remodeled website was launched at 9:00AM today (Wednesday, December 10th, 2008).
The new website was developed to provide visitors with a taste of Bloomfield's cultural and historical nature and as a point of reference for city services. The website accentuates the rich history of Bloomfield and its quality of life. The design was developed using design and photographic talent from Southern Iowa, where Bloomfield is located.
In addition to a contemporary design, IACO Media focused on visitor usability, implementing clear and consistent navigation throughout the new website. Other site enhancements include: interactive maps of the community's zoning and streets, an updated document management tracking system, a calendar of events, image galleries, and a virtual tour of the community.
"It was important that our client could easily update its website after the launch," declared developer and co-founder, Chris Ball, "We implemented the open source content management system, Joomla to accomplish this goal. News, articles, imaging, and events can now be easily updated on a daily basis, and in doing so, Bloomfield's website should be the perfect place for someone to find information and resources for the city."
