Proyecto Infancia develops photography workshops for children coming from poor neighborhoods in different countries (Chile, Brazil and Kosovo) with the aim of stimulating their personal development, imagination, creativity and awareness. For this purpose, it counts with the support of institutions, organizations and educational centers.
Proyecto Infancia comes from the urge to transmit to children the basic techniques of photography. It starts from a documental approach and finally reaches a more artistic view, thus creating an educational form that contributes to the personal and social development of the participants in the workshops.
Photography workshops of Proyecto Infancia take place for the first time in 2006 in Valparaíso (Chile). These workshops are created and coordinated from José Mogrol (Photographer of Elcarromato Producciones)
In summer 2008 the workshops took place again in Valparaíso (Chile). Moreover, we started new workshops in the shkolla fillore XHEMAJL KADA of Pejë (Kosovo) and in the Vila Brandaô, Salvador de Bahía (Brazil).
The final aim of Proyecto Infancia is to connect children from different parts of the world through the exchange of their pictures, making them able to get in contact with different realities.
Thanks to the support of the online art magazine www.area-zinc.com, we exhibit this series of pictures, made from children between 7 and 15 years old.
All the pictures exhibited are for sale, and the benefits will be entirely used to realize new photography workshops of Proyecto Infancia.
If you wish to know more about the project and the possibilities of participation, please don't hesitate to contact us at proyectoinfancia08@
