Dedicated to Helping At-Risk Children with a Safe Place to Stay
San Diego-- Despite the challenging economy, Concierge At Large, Inc. remains committed to giving back to the community through philanthropic efforts. In the past, the top concierge firm has assisted Toys for Tots, Children’s Hospital, Mama’s Kitchen and Operation Homefront. In 2008, Concierge At Large and their clients will donate desperately needed toys, clothing and school supplies to The Polinsky Children’s Center, located at 9400 Ruffin Court in San Diego, which provides a safe and secure environment for children suspected or found to be at risk for child abuse.
“The Polinsky Center is an excellent charity to contribute to this holiday season,” said Kelly Sexton Caudillo, Concierge Services Manager for Concierge At Large, Inc. “Donations are used to enhance and enrich the lives of all the children during their stay by means of special programs, education, recreation and cultural activities, personal care supplies, and clothing.” The Polinsky Children's Center houses these at-risk children while problems are resolved. Each month more than 300 children ages birth to 18 years old are admitted to the Polinsky Children's Center. “The team at Concierge At Large believes that community support is needed, now more that ever,” added Sexton Caudillo.
The Polinsky Children's Center offers a safe environment, providing food, housing, and a supportive learning atmosphere, fostering self-esteem and confidence. Built on County donated land and augmented with funds raised from private donations under the auspices of the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation, the center has the licensed capacity to serve 204 children. It includes six residential cottages, a nursery, an on-site school library, infirmary and gymnasium.
