Redmond’s local fitness company Element 5 Fitness is teaming up with local Redmond toy store Tree Top Toys to promote healthy lifestyles and bring gifts to local kids by offering a FREE week of their Strong & Sexy Bootcamp to anyone who purchases a gift for an underprivileged child.
To participate, simply choose two holiday wish tags from the Christmas tree at the Redmond Athletic Club at 8709 161st Ave NE. Next, purchase the gifts at Tree Top Toys at 15752 Redmond Way. Show the sales clerk the wish tags to receive a 15% discount on the toys. Then bring the unwrapped gifts to the Redmond Athletic Club to redeem your free week of Strong & Sexy Bootcamps. All toys will be donated to children at the Ryther Child Center in Seattle.
“What’s heartbreaking in the children’s gift requests is that there are requests for simple basic NEEDS and not wants. One kid wanted seeds to plant a flower, while another wanted some underwear! Underwear should be a given for any child and not a thought should be put into providing these necessities. They should have some fun things this Christmas and not have to ask for toothbrushes, flowers, underwear, etc.,” says Lubas. Acda notes that seeing those requests prompted them to do their part.
With the launch of their successful Strong and Sexy Bootcamps at multiple locations in Redmond, Woodinville, and Bellevue, Lubas and Acda feel that offering a free week of the Bootcamp would entice local residents to help these kids. “What more can you ask for? You are helping a child, and in return we expose you to fitness and health. It’s a win-win situation,” says Lubas.
