Brass Turned Parts to step up operations with new plant for Bronze Casting and fasteners

Dec. 9, 2008 - PRLog -- Brass Turned Parts UK which has been known for manufacturing of Brass turned parts anchors fasteners hex nuts machine screws etc with an office in the UK and  exports to 29 countries and a turnover of 19 mn US$ has decided to step up its operations by adding a new extrusion plant for Bronze casting and new multi station cold forging/heading machines for Fasteners  with a capacity for 290 tons/month.This involves an outlay of 16 Mn US$ and a workforce of 215 people. The project will be set up in Vavpipla Gujarat .( http://www.brass-turned-parts.co.uk/index.htm   ) The team is led by young technocrats who have been educated in UK and have good experience in engineering industry in UK and India.



The machinery for this has already been imported from Taiwan and Italy  and the finance has been worked out with RBM bank .  Initial production will commence in about 4 months from now and the target market is Western Europe. Bronze ingots are used for Bronze casting worldwide by Brass Copper and Bronze foundries. Non ferrous casting industry is growing at about 12% P/A thanks to demand in automotive and electrification. The non ferrous fasteners industry is also growing at about 10% p/a and there is a distinct shift to cut costs and source from India and China rather than tradition suppliers from Italy and Spain.

The company will specialize and high end  small precision Brass nuts and fasteners used in electronic industry. Mr. Nitin  Parekh the Exports director of the company is positive to break even in the very first year with envisaged profit for FY 2011 of US$ 4.2  Million.
