Is it possible for a novelist with no economic credentials to produce a witty and irreverent collection of haiku, with the aim of turning some economic frowns upside-down?
The book, published by Apus Publishing, costs just one fiver for 74 fully illustrated pages: a bit more than your average latte, but much healthier. The author sacrificed steep royalties and a potential life of fame and fortune in order to make the book available to those who had their hopes ripped away from them by economic mismanagement of global proportions (i.e., everyone).
The author's previous novel, "Cluck: Murder Most Fowl," won three awards: when asked if "Inspirational Haiku" is expected to earn similar accolades, Knapp simply laughed and said:
Nobel prizes? Bah!
It's better to write haiku
That make sad men smile.
In the same spirit, new haiku will be posted online, for free. Website:
