The training named “The Science of Systematic Innovation” covered the basic components of Lean Six Sigma.
By: Business901, Dager The Lean Six Sigma Training addressed understanding the physics of flow, waste components, statistical process control, theory of constraints and the principles of DMAIC. The workshop is highly interactive as you apply each principle through real-life type examples. Time was also spent on how to communicate the principles throughout your organization. The training was put on by Scott Lasater of Lasater Institute. Scott is known as “the guy who taught Six Sigma to Jack Welch” Dager was introduced to the program thru Craig Crook, the director of TQM Network. “I was looking for some practical training that would give me a different approach to Lean and Six Sigma. I always felt that my previous training was more clinical or textbook style,” said Dager. He also added, “Craig assured me and Scott, certainly provided the style I had requested. I was amazed on how easily he broke down the subject and especially the statistical side of the equation. I did not walk away from the training with my head spinning, but with actual ideas on how I could improve my organization.” About the TQM Network is in the business of helping companies improve through well-facilitated shared learning opportunities led by industry experts and incorporating value added networking to expose members to best practices. There are many benefits of being a Network member (reduced training costs, local access to world-class training, benchmarking, etc.), but at its core, the TQM Network has always been about well-facilitated, shared learning opportunities.
