Pundit Peru

In his latest video on youtube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmx65NCIzdg) PUNDIT PERU India's cultural ambassador to the world makes the sad observation that the Indian government moves fastest to save lives when in the spot light of the world press, but seemed to ignore the cries for help at home when HUNDREDS of innocent victims fell to communal violence recently in Orissa.

The video is a no-hold-barred scathing attack on the Indian government which has become a subject of global discussion after its dismal handling of the terror attack in Mumbai last week.

In the video he asks, "where was the Indian army? where were the commandoes and where was the resolve of the Indian prime minister when hundreds were being murdered in cold blood in Orissa as a result of the recent communal violence that left churches burnt and people dead."

The clips on youtube featuring the character portrayal of the Indian politician has attracted global reaction from more than 20 countries in which viewers have expressed dismay and shock at the reality showcased in them.

Viewers from India have thrown their support behind the efforts of Pundit Peru, sending in notes of encouragement and gratitude for his efforts to draw global attention towards the voice of the Indian poor.
