Vancouver – Have you ever worked out with a personal trainer and thought to yourself “I'd like to see them do this”? The members of Momentum Fitness have, and once a year they get to train their trainer.
Momentum Fitness will be holding its annual “Train the Trainer” charitable event on Saturday, December 13th, 2008 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at their facility - 1762 West 8th Avenue with all proceeds being donated to Room to Read www.roomtoread.org.
“Train the Trainer” is a once a year opportunity for the clients to inflict their least favorite exercises on their personal trainer. The revenge comes with a price, a donation to charity and Momentum’s clients and trainers have made this event a success year after year.
Room to Read, a non-profit, partners with local communities throughout the developing world to provide quality educational opportunities by building schools, libraries, and other educational infrastructure. Through the opportunities that only an education can provide, they strive to break the cycle of poverty, one child at a time. Room to Read is currently operating in Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Laos, South Africa, Zambia, and India.
Momentum Fitness owners Barry Duncan and Nikki Layton have raised and donated over $25,000 to a variety of charities since they opened their facility 8 years ago. “Train the Trainer” was such a big success in 2007 that they were able to donate enough money to build two reading rooms with Room to Read.
Momentum Fitness, a training facility that specializes in personal training, has clients ranging from golfers who want to lower their score to the busy executive who doesn’t have enough time to stay fit. Momentum’s mission is to apply our extensive knowledge and experience towards helping clients achieve a higher level of fitness and quality of life. We have created an environment that is friendly, professional, fun and safe.
“Train the Trainer” is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to come down for sushi, drinks and endless entertainment as fitness professionals get a taste of their own medicine.
