Esporta Health Clubs is pleased to announce that it is passing on the new VAT changes directly to members.
Starting immediately and with full effect from 1 January 2009, members at each of the 55 premium health and fitness clubs in the UK and Ireland benefit from the reduction in VAT from 17.5% to 15%, which lasts until the end of 2009.
Both existing and new members will enjoy lower membership rates, while all prices for in house services have been adjusted to reflect the change. This includes treatments in the clubs’ luxurious health and beauty areas, all restaurant and bar areas, family activities and swimming lessons as well as the crèche.
Esporta’s Chief Executive Officer, Glenn Timms says: “Since the government has cut VAT to stimulate consumer confidence Esporta recognises the importance of passing this saving directly on to our members and would welcome the rest of the UK health club Industry to follow our lead.”
