Beautiful Diva was founded by Myra Roldan in 2003. Myra grew up in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, a very small town near the center of the island. There she was raised by her mother, Carmen Fernandez and her grandparents, Margarita (Mai) Ramos and Ramon (Monche El Zorro) Fernandez.

Myra spent a lot of time with her grandmother, Mai, who practiced herbology creating medicinal herbal remedies for those who sought her out. Mai was also a diva in her own right, she enjoyed looking her best. She would create her own makeup using plants and herbs.

When Myra's grandmother began to suffer the effects of Parkinson's Disease, Myra made sure her to create her grandmother's favorite shades at her request. She turned into her grandmother's personal cosmetologist, grooming her eye brows, peforming pedicures & manicures, lining Mai's eyes and lips, filling her trembling lips with color. All these things made Mai happy which in turn made Myra happy.
