SIGVARIS Advances Compression Therapy and Venous Disease Management Knowledge with STEP UP Program

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 02, 2008 – Peachtree City, GA, United States, 01/15/2008 -- SIGVARIS North America announced a new medical education program today that employs a unique twist to teach participants about venous disease, compression therapy and ways to better serve customers who are suffering from vein health issues.

STEP UP SIGVARIS is a knowledge-based competition that awards prizes to players who successfully answer a multiple-choice quiz after studying a three-part booklet that covers medical knowledge, product information and sales tactics.

“This is the first dealer education program of its kind in the US, and the aim of this innovative concept is to provide our retailers with useful information to help develop their compression therapy business,” said Judith Brannan, Education Manager for SIGVARIS North America.

SIGVARIS offers the STEP UP program free of charge to all participants, with the goal of building awareness of compression therapy as a therapeutic treatment for venous disease and its’ symptoms like spider veins, varicose veins and tired, achy legs.  The program aims to STEP UP a player’s:

• knowledge of the venous system, related medical conditions and the positive benefits of compression therapy
• ability and enthusiasm for compression therapy sales, and
• capacity for recognizing patient needs to better serve them with appropriate products.
