Telesoft Technologies today announced the HINTON Locator passive monitoring probe, to address the fast growing location-based services and subscriber tracking applications markets. Connecting to any mobile network, it gives OEMs and System Integrators the location-related signalling information that enables them to provide subscribers with sophisticated, geographically targeted applications. Typical applications include location-based advertising, E911 services, info-point services and navigation aids.

The highly flexible location API can filter by location area, cell ID, subscriber mobile number etc allowing accurate targeting of subscribers for the extraction of all location related signalling information used during network operation.
