Since 1957 Belcourt Castle has hosted an open house at Christmas time. The Christmas decorations reflect a Tinney Family tradition of 52 years at Belcourt Castle. Originally used as a summer house, built in 1891-1894 for Oliver Hazard Perry Belmont who married Alva, divorced from William K. Vanderbilt in 1895, Belcourt is now a year-round residence with a collection of antiques from 33 countries. An inspiration to visitors from all over the world, the architectural masterpiece of Richard Morris Hunt retains the warmth of human spirit.
The guided tour of the castle decorated for Christmas begins at 2 pm with tea following at 3 pm.
The cost is $18.00 per person inclusive. Reservations are required by calling 401-846-0669 or emailing belcourt2006@
