KIDS AND FAMILY “ROCK ‘N ROLL SANTA” with talented composer, performer and author Mifflin Lowe is being held on Saturday December 20th at 11 am at BELCOURT CASTLE, 657 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI 02840. The program is for children ages 3-10. One adult is required to accompany up to four children.
Glistening with festive decorations throughout December, Belcourt Castle and the Royal Arts Foundation will host Mifflin Lowe as he sings and plays rocking holiday tunes. To add to the fun, little girls and boys are especially encouraged to come dressed as a Christmas Princess or Prince. Certificates of Merit will be awarded to those who dress for the event.
Everyone is invited to come sing along, dance and celebrate with the family! Mifflin Lowe sings “Rock ‘N Roll Santa,” “The Night Before Christmas Rap,” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” plus traditional, holiday favorites including “Must be Santa,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Jingle Bells,” and more with help from museum director and owner Harle Tinney as "Queen of the Castle".
As close personal friends of both Santa and Mrs. Claus, and recognizing that this may have been a hard year for families, Mifflin Lowe and Belcourt Castle are discounting the ticket price by one third of the previous published price.
Mifflin will perform the story, “Wilton Wilberry and the Magical Christmas Wishing Well,” giving every child a chance to make a special holiday wish with a magic penny.
Miracles, peace and hope and the special joy children experience at Christmas should not be lost. This is a perfect show for children ages 3-10 – and their grown-ups.
