Established in 1968, the office furniture experts who are based in Bromley, Kent have lived through least four major economic downturns and their customers through such several waves of terrorist bombings. In that time they have witnessed tremendous changes within the office furniture industry such as the new trend for ergonomic seating and even the introduction of environmentally friendly designs.
Founded in 1968 by David Johnson and Stanley Schuster the then named, 'JS Seating Renovations' was set up in response to client requests when they required an office furniture specialist that could renovate their office chairs.
Chris Johnson, Chief Executive at JS Online, specialists in office furniture, said the business has come on in leaps and bounds since the very early years, 20 years ago, we didn’t even have a computer! We used to spend hours keeping everything on paper.”
Mr Johnson added, “What is interesting is that the cost of buying office furniture is in real terms less today than it was 20 years ago. This is down to the type of the materials used and where they come from. It is not unusual to buy budget office furniture for under £100 and for it to be of a very good pedigree.
When JS Online first began, the company had a grand total of two staff, crammed into a garage trying to make ends meet!, they now have a lean team of 18 who deliver high quality office solutions from office chairs, office desks and ergonomic designs and also offer a full office interiors package from consultation and planning to design and build.
With their In-house design service and in-house transport, logistics and installation network they are looking to thrive over the next 40 years in this ever-changing economic climate.
