The UAE Web Awards Committee in association with MSN Arabia, Microsoft, BSA and Gowealthy presented the fourth year UAE Web Awards Competition. UAE Web Awards was created to recognize excellence in web design and development skills. All competing web-sites were evaluated by a group of specialists in all concerned fields, according to special designated guidelines following international standards.
"I am pleasantly surprised and truly honored being recognized by such an esteemed awards competition in the UAE web industry" says Mrs. Petra Sander, Founder & Website Owner of Dubai Kidz. "Moving back to Dubai beginning of 2005 gave me, at that time a mum of toddler twins, lots of new tasks to tackle. Finding a nursery or activities and places to go to is always a challenge - but especially true so when you are new in town or during the hot summer months. And that's how I came up with the idea of creating an on-line directory of things to do with kids in Dubai, as I believe the internet is a good way to share and obtain information. Initially I had started Dubai Kidz as a hobby, but it has grown significantly since and the website is now one of the most popular in its field"
