IPF Inc. is now producing ECO-THERM FDA approved PET roll stock made 100% from reclaimed and reprocessed water, juice, soda and sports drink plastic bottles. Also available is ECO-THERM BD. The same recycled PET which is also biodegradable and compostable when discarded in any environment where there is continuous microbial activity. In landfills, industrial and home compost environments, or natural bodies of water, material will degrade into carbon dioxide and water in nine months to five years.
Recently perfected, this new eco friendly alternative can be used for a wide range of food and non food packaging applications. High clarity, strength, performance, and lack of storage and handling limitations make it practical for thermo forming trays, containers,clamshells and blisters. Competitive pricing compares favorably with traditional materials including PVC, OPS, APET and post industrial RPET. Both ECO-THERM and ECO-THERM BD are recyclable and have no negative effects on existing recycling streams.
"Closed loop" programs are also available. Plastic drink bottles returned by companies and institutions can be reprocessed and remanufactured into material and packages used by those returning the bottles.
