New Delhi, India : This time, the community organized OSScamp Delhi at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi which attracted over 130 campers in various capacities: Programmers, Faculty, CIOs, CEOs, etc amongst others. Around 50 campers were students and 70 were active technology professionals. The event was organized with the help of IIT Delhi students' Linux Users Group and the campers also included a number of Electrical/Computer Science Engineering students from IIT Delhi.

A small Linux install fest was held at the day 2 of the event, wherein Fedora and Ubuntu was distributed by Sarai and was enthusiastically installed by the campers. Big Buck Bunny- a short movie made by Blender Foundation and Blender Community was showcased to the campers to highlight the power of the blender engine.
OSSCube is an active promoter of the OSScamp community and strives at promoting open source, developing FOSS and propagating it. Thus OSSCube keenly promotes the community which aims to create a platform to discuss open source phenomenon, its technology, development, business module or FOSS projects in our country.
With successful conclusion of OSScamp Delhi September 2008, the community is now planning to organize a camp aligned with IIT technology fest- Tryst, next year. The event would play host to almost 100 technical institutes in India plus some of the most influential technology companies in the world. At the camp, the inception of OSScamp Nainital Community also took place, with student volunteers taking the onus of forging an active FOSS-oriented community around the Nainital area.
