During the meeting at the Department of Schools, Children and Families in Westminster Stephen raised the view that advertising can mislead children. Following the meeting and further discussions planned for January a report will be produced looking at the impact of the commercial world on children’s well being,
Stephen will be attending another informal discussion tonight with David Blunkett at Portcullis House where he will be discussing democracy, equality and how to achieve genuine universal suffrage* in the United Kingdom. Stephen will argue for a democratic system that is more diverse and inclusive.
Since joining Tabor, Stephen has been keen to encourage others to use their student voice. As chairman of the Braintree Conservative Future, Stephen has arranged a young people’s discussion to be held on the 31st January at Avenue Lodge, Witham. Brooks Newmark MP for Braintree will attend the meeting.
