"We take pride in what we do and it's important that we get the design down right", states Todd, a partner with vision-strike-
When you visit vision-strike-
If you are a unit and looking to have a design made for a command t-shirt, family t-shirt, or for a special function or activity, whether deployed or stateside, these guys can get it done. "Designs no longer have to be stale and boring", says Derek, another owner at vision-strike-
Navy rate designs both in color and black and white, Marine Corps MOS designs with a gritty and dangerous look, Coast Guard MSST design and Surfman USCG t-shirts, Navy FCPOA, VBSS, as well as Sniper, Fire Department, and Police Department t-shirt designs created for specific teams, group or individuals can also be found on their website.
"It's kind of crazy but we often get these wonderful calls from Germany, Iraq and Afghanistan on occasion, and in 1 case the unit was on patrol and ordering their designs. We obviously do not ask that you orders when outside the wire but the call was great and they got a design that they felt knocked their socks off. Now obviously we kept that conversation short and told them to call back when things were not so busy in their office but we are here and we are motivated to create lasting designs for many years of enjoyment to come.
Challenge coins are going into their store and are scheduled next. "When we handled our first challenge coin, felt the weight and how well the design was ingrained into the metal we were sold."
Now with many companies entering into the challenge coin market we see smaller companies try and do some new things like poker chips?
"We investigated poker chip challenge coins but they looked cheap and felt flimsy and thought it better to provide something that would last a lot longer. Metal challenge coins just can't be beat. When we design we want the end product to be awesome. Poker chips just did not make it there."
Tell us more about the design process.
"Sure. It starts with a call, email or letter. Many exchanges of information to ensure the design gets done correctly. We create a sketch to draw in the elements and check for accuracy, placement, color and text."
"Once approved we move to the final draft and go through a series of firming up the final design so it has the hard hitting finished look we provide."
Then?
"We print and ship"
That sounds pretty easy?
"It really is. It's all about communication and making sure that we move with the customer to ensure the design is right each step of the way. It's a close-knit synergy."
Do you ship to APO/FPO military addresses?
"Of course."
Do you have minimums?"
"We like to stay as close to 48 t-shirts as possible but there are always exceptions. The bottom line is that we want to provide the very best and that means even smaller units deserve it too. We have been known to create a custom design on a couple occasions for just a small group of around 12 soldiers. We cant say who but Special Forces get whatever they ask for.
"Why would someone chose your company over the others one would find out there?"
"It would have to be the artwork. I know that sounds kind of like duh, but really, how many companies do you think will spend days if necessary to create a one-of-a-kind design with the amount of color and definition we like to create? We are priced very competitively, have very low minimums and produce exactly what our customers want. We are an extension of their creative energies and on their team. We are tyrannical about getting it done right and making the design look incredible. We are not drawing average. We are designing wicked.
If you had to say one thing to the many men and woman serving in our Armed Forces about working with you when it comes to creating a military unit t-shirt what would it be?
"Challenge us!"
