It was happy faces all round when an envelope full of cheerful Christmas-themed drawings was handed over to Essex based green cleaning company First Class Cleaning and Maintenance earlier this month.
The drawings were the hard work of pupils at St John’s School in Woodford who had been challenged to design a selection of Christmas cards for the environmentally friendly cleaning company (http://www.essexcleaningservice.co.uk) to send to its customers.
All the designs were entered into a competition judged by the company’s staff and customers and the winning drawings are currently being transformed into stunning, festive cards.
Going through the entries was something of an emotional experience for company director Laura Carey who said, “I couldn’t get over the amount of effort the children had put into their drawings and I have to admit I shed a tear or two whilst going through them. The attention to detail was amazing and it was so difficult for all of us to choose the winners.”
Laura will be presenting the winning artists with their prizes on 18 December during assembly.
