Assistive Technology Services has combined two technologies to provide a solution that hundreds of our customers have used to solve this problem.
Solution Part 1. We offer a Wireless Video Doorbell. This video door bell is waterproof and is placed outside by the door. A small TV/video receiver/intercom unit is placed inside. When a visitor presses the doorbell a small camera outside turns on. Then a chime alerts inside on the inside video display. The video display inside turns on and you can see and talk both ways to the person outside. This way you can see them and find out what they want.
Solution Part 2. We offer a wireless Remote Deadbolt or Doorknob. Once you have decided to let this person in your home just press the button on the remote control and the door will unlock. Once they leave just press a button on the remote to re-lock the door.
