1Scans Means Photo Scanning, More Thanks to Major New Investment

Nov. 25, 2008 - PRLog -- 1Scan, the slide, negative and photo scanning bureau today announces major extensions to its service portfolio, thanks to investment in new APS and print scanning technology.

“We are an established image scanning service with a track record of scanning 35mm slides and negatives along with medium format scanning” said Jeff Underwood, owner and founder of 1Scan.

“Now we are adding APS scanning to our portfolio. In response to requests from our clients we have added APS adaptors to our Nikon scanners. This means we can handle APS film and produce top quality scans, up to 4000 dpi, using Nikon’s fantastic Digital ICE image enhancement tools”. The new APS film scanning facility is already being put to good use. 1Scan has recently received a major order from a private client to scan over 2,000 APS images.

1Scan’s second investment is an advanced high capacity Kodak print scanning system.

“Print scanning has been part of our service since day one, but demand has been growing steadily. We decided Kodak offered an excellent way to take our print scanning service to the next level, high volume, high quality scanning. Now we can offer our clients a great scanning service at just 10p per scan.”

“Plus, we can scan both sides of a print so if a client has a cherished photo with vital notes on the back, we can scan those too. And old, faded prints are no problem thanks to the image enhancement features that bring back lost colour and contrast. So photos, along with any important notes, are scanned quickly into a high quality image library”.
