aloft Denver International Airport is entering the metro scene in December and with it comes the electric w xyz bar, an upscale and unique destination sensation. A visit to this newly launched Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide product is meant to be experiential. aloft encourages social interaction, so they have created an enticing setting in the w xyz bar where guests and locals can mix, meet, and mingle.
When the lights are dimmed, w xyz comes alive as an oversized video wall displays a different sunset each night. The weekday Twilight Happy Hour on Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm will feature “sips”, the aloft definition of cocktails, such as the Lychee (a rare sub-tropical fruit from South China) Martini and the Passion Fruit Mojito. Groups of friends can partake in the Pitcher Program, a pitcher of signature specialty drinks with four glasses featured nightly. To get a groove on, Thursday night is Diva DJ Night from 9:00 pm until midnight. A sassy chic Diva DJ spins an eclectic mix of music while incorporating an element of theater, movement and entertainment to create an underground, edgy, impromptu and sexy vibe.
Take a break from the dance floor to play at the game tables in the re:mix lobby. Savory or sweet snacks are available around the clock at re:fuel pantry. Sesame Noodles and Spring Rolls with Soy Ginger are some of the “hot bites” on the menu.
w xyz bar at aloft Denver International Airport is central to Gateway Park, a mixed-use business park surrounded by several brand-new neighborhoods. Ralph Bobian, aloft Denver International Airport General Manager describes the new nightclub, “w xyz provides an energetic, playful atmosphere. Not only will spirited travelers be drawn to the club, but we also believe it will be a popular gathering place for professionals who live and work in the area.” Like-minded meetup.com groups will be invited to use w xyz as a meeting venue using the social environment to connect with those sharing the same passions and interests.
w xyz bar hours are 5:00 pm until midnight on Monday through Friday and 12 noon until midnight on Saturday and Sunday. Denver-based Stonebridge Companies has partnered with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide to launch this $25 million hotel.
