Launched in October 2008, Firesafetyeducator.com provides fire and life safety educators a venue to share ideas with each other. Hosted by Firefighter and Public Fire and Life Safety Educator Dayna Hilton, fire departments and other safety related organizations are invited to share fire and life safety ideas and initiatives as well as upcoming events on the site.
“This interactive site allows educators the opportunity to learn ideas from their peers. In my years serving as an educator, I have seen some very innovative ideas, many accomplished with little or no cost. I wanted to provide a place where educators could go to exchange ideas. Whether you are a seasoned public educator or just getting started, there will be something for everyone on Firesafetyeducator.com,”
Fire departments and organizations are invited to share videos, pictures and/or stories. Interested fire departments are also invited to participate in Hilton’s radio program, Safety Talk Radio, another resource for educators.
