Nov. 24, 2008 - PRLog -- Former NBA All Star, Vin Baker of Old Saybrook CT, announced earlier this year that he was making a comeback to professional basketball.

It was announced yesterday by sports agency, Macklin & Lovett Associates of Bridgeport, that Baker will be headed to the China Basketball Association (CBA) to play for Liaoning Pan Pan Hunters, '07-'08 CBA Championship Runner-up.

After reflecting on a career that ended on unpleasant terms, the 6'11" power forward began months of a rigorous fitness regimen including weight training and pick up games with the Mens teams at UCONN and at his alma mater, the University of Hartford; declaring himself fit and hungry for competitive play late this past summer.

Baker, 37, was a 4-time NBA All-Star and 2000 USA Gold Medal Olympian, before his NBA career ended in Minnesota in 2006. His ultimate goal is to return to the NBA for a shot at redemption and an NBA title. After departing the US today, he will arrive in China on Tuesday, Nov. 25 and be in uniform for the Wednesday game against Qing Dao-Ds.
