With fanciful imagination and childlike hilarity, author Connie Mosesson writes an enchanting tale about the importance of embracing who you are in Lovey Dovey and the Makeover Mistake.
The pretty and vain Lovey Dovey, along with her two friends Shellabellareena, and their ever-present sidekick, Power Meower are set on giving themselves a fashionable makeover, but their creative and not so genius idea turns into a comedic disaster.
Mosesson’s insightful book teaches children the value of friendship and learning to look beyond the external to embrace what’s important. In a society that promotes the importance of physical attributes, her tale will not only delight children, but makes a significant and powerful statement about accepting the extraordinary and “purrr-fectly”
Lovey Dovey and the Makeover Mistake is a delightful breath of fresh air that you’ll be reading to your children over and over again.
