Only a few months after launching the website, the AdBhai.com team has launched a Social Classifieds application built on the OpenSocial platform. This is one of the first Indian Classifieds application that uses Open Social API to integrate online classifieds and the power of Social Networks. This application allows Orkut users to post Ads that can be searched and viewed by millions Orkut users. When a user posts an Ad, an update message is sent to the activity feeds of all his/her friends. Friends can then click on the link in the message to see the Ad. Application users can search from thousands of Ads using keywords, location, categories and have access to all the Ads posted via the application as well as AdBhai.com website. There is also an interesting "Wish List" feature that allows users to create their 'Wish Lists', which are also visible to their friends. The application allows friends to grant virtual gifts from wish lists to each other.
Commenting on the launch of this App, Neenad Desai, co-founder, AdBhai.com says,"People spend a lot of time on Social Networking sites like Orkut. We noticed that there were no good classified Apps built for OpenSocial. It thus made sense to build a classifieds app which would complement our existing website AdBhai.com and also make use of existing social networks to create a marketplace."
