Massachusetts High Technology Council uses Maptitude Maps to Rank Elected Officials

Newton, MA -November 21, 2008- The Massachusetts High Technology Council (MHTC) has recently released their latest MassTrack Legislative Scorecard, and uses Maptitude for the Web to visualize these rankings for every community in the Commonwealth.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov 21, 2008 -
The MassTrack scorecard measures the support of cities, towns, and legislators for the priorities of the local technology economy and is available at www.masstrack.org. These rankings are accessible via interactive maps that use Caliper Corporation's Maptitude for the Web, an easy-to-use mapping software platform that lets web developers publish geographic data.

The biennial scorecard gave legislators an average 42 percent for their performance in the 2007-2008 session. That’s down significantly from an average 75 percent ranking in 2006, as discussed in the Boston Business Journal.

Maptitude for the Web has enabled the MHTC to clearly convey statewide information that is crucial to their organizational goals. A fast and easily navigable interface insures that critical factors affecting the Commonwealth's technology sector are available for querying and comparison by decision makers and the general public.
